Trustee Accreditation Program

Maximizing Aboriginal Economic and Social
Well-Being Across Canada

Registration is now open and will close April 30th, 2012 and the program will start May 1, 2012.

Register

NATOA would like to extend its sincere thanks and appreciation who donated their time and expertise to develop the trustee accreditation program curriculum.

Community Based Workshops

NATOA can tailor an In-Community workshop based on the needs identified by the local Trustees/members. NATOA will scan through its membership roster to help match the expertise to the needs identified. Costs for these sessions are usually based on actual costs incurred in running the session (generally travel costs are to be covered). Non-member communities would be charged a session fee as well.

NATOA has been taking part in Trust conference's across Canada, here are some that we have spoke at recently

Prairie Treaty Trustees Association Saskatoon, Saskatchewan November 9, 2011

The presentation was attended by about 50 people who seemed very interested in what NATOA has been doing and seem to want to become part of the process.  A lot of questions have been generated since then, questions about their specific trusts and what their options are.  The audience was comprised of professionals and grassroots trustees.

Aboriginal Wealth Management Conference, (Cayoose Creek) Lillooet, British Columbia November 30 and December 1, 2011

The presentation was attended by about 20 people who seemed very interested in what NATOA has been doing and seem to want to become part of the process.  A lot of questions have been generated since then, questions about their specific trusts and what their options are.  CIBC, TE Wealth and Meyers Norris Penny hosted this event on behalf of Chief Michelle Edwards of the Cayoose Creek First Nation.  Trustees of community and land trusts were in attendance.
